I like the detail in the wings but it is a bit disconcerting that I cannot see the heads. I am also not too fond of the sepia background, it just doesn't go with the colour of the birds. But I do like the placement of the birds in the frame with the branches in the background.

I do like this but it won't sound that way by what I will say next: I find it very disturbing. The drips that look like blood give an ominous reading, not inappropriately given the concept in your title. This is a fascinating shot.

I don't know what's going on here but I love this shot for the lighting and colours. To me it doesn't matter that there's grain or focus issues because that lovely ribbon of light at night is just eye candy to this voters eyes :) The pole definitely makes the shot, nicely placed at 3rds. I don't think others will feel the same way so I'm giving you a +1 to compensate ;)

Excellent!! The succession of 2 birds in flight and the perspective of flight in the frame is well taken /seen. The b/g is complimentary enhancing the birds..
