Dreamerby 308Comment by Gatorguy: I love the dirt on his face. It would have been better for me if I could see the right eye. |

Dreamerby 308Comment by rox_rox: The shallow DOF suites this image well. I think the lighting hurts it, though. |

Dreamerby 308Comment by Germaine: I wish we had some detail on his right eye. On my monitor it's coming across as a black blob -- no detail at all. |

Mystic Macroby 308Comment by 308: The moving light in this was a spotlight in my hand, it just broke up the uv light a little, scored better the I expected anyway, thanks for the coments everyone. |

Dreamerby 308Comment by Melethia: I realize you were working with natural light, but it sure would have been nice to get some light on that left eye! But you captured a lovely look on it's face and the square crop works very well for this. |

Dreamerby 308Comment by elru21: The harsh light really hurts the image, IMO. The fact that the eye closest to the camera is completely in shadow makes it hard to appeciate his cute little face. With a wildlife shot like this, I don't want to say "use a reflector" or "turn his head into the light" because that seems like silly advice. Maybe shooting when the sun is lower in the sky or in more open shade is the best strategy.
I like your tones in this image, and your focus is right on. His whiskers are nice and sharp and the bokeh in the background is very pleasant. |

Mystic Macroby 308Comment by KiwiShotz: Nice effect. Very hard to know if a moving light source was used, its very hard to tll because the shadows aren't visible. |
