It may be because it is overused on this site which is my first introduction to it. At any rate, I've seen a few photos that put it to good use and this can be added to that collection. It is so subtle that you almost don't notice it. I love the pale delicate color of the peeling wallpaper against the stark, textured wall. Lovely. This (and your entry for Deep DOF) reminds me of that website that was posted recently, www.99rooms.com.
