IMG_3751-copyDPC.jpgby xianartComment by PHOTOKID: Hi Xianart,
In my opinion, this shot needs to be taken at a slightly higher plane and angled down slightly so as if to be looking into the pile for a buoy. At that point I would blur out the background so the red shed in the back doesnt pull your eye away from your subject. Your composition for this shot is good, I like that you are not looking at the bin straight forward and the clearity is nice, but watch for blown pixels on the yellow buoys as they seem more likely to overexpose.
Just my 2 cents worth, Thanks for sharing.. Keep shooting.

Hey X!
Very clever shot. I particularly like the door sign, subtle and cute. Most importantly, you had fun thinking up the shot, which is key for me.
I think the grain does not seem uniform which makes it hard to see it as being intentional. The focus on the rooster seems a bit too soft as well which also gives the impression that the grainy parts where caused by noise.
The only suggestion I could think of if you ever thought to reshoot this would be to use a longer shutter speed, less ISO, and a wider (shorter that is) aperture (something around 6.3 would have given you the depth you would need to achieve the clarity to read the door sign without distortion).
Hope this helps.
Peace

Very cute idea! I especially like the name on the door touch.
The picture is a little dark and grainy, otherwise this is great! |
