plain and simple.... that is -imo- what graphic design is all about, I like it! I don't know about the meaning of the colors, but I was planning to enter this challenge and was going to use different colors to represent different cultures, countries, tastes, techniques, etc... though I may have not repeated a color... I didn't have time to work on my idea.. good luck!

This was one of the few that didn't have photos included in the design that I actually like. The ribbon looks nice with the color wheel done on it.

I can't say I agree with your choice of post processing, it makes the picture look more like a drawing or technicolour colourization than a digital photo, but I do like the elements you chose to include in this shot, though busy, they have a lot of character.
