Good concept for the challenge. I wonder if including a bit more of the sides of the house (not quite so much only the hole of the garage) would work a bit better. Also, as a picture, even though it is very realistic and easy to "feel", it doesn't have all that much attraction - it's just a mess in a garage (which is what you wanted to show, but it doesn't make for a very attractive picture). ~5

I really like this because it shows this man as a person instead of just a photo opportunity - you preserve his dignity very well, I think. I also think the effect of the cracked sky is very strong.
