Portrait of the pastby OnieComment by wingy: This shot seemed so much more unique than most of the photos this week, and you got only 4 comments? Wow.. that's ridiculous. It was a personal favorite. Nice work. |

Portrait of the pastby OnieComment by Azrifel: I like the contrast of this image.
The attributes tell the background of the person, very good.
Good exposure.
One negative remark: The photographer is visible at the end of the trumpet, a minor flaw. Don't know how to get that out, but something to watch out for in the future. |

Portrait of the pastby OnieComment by aussie: Excellent composition. The hat adds interest with his head slightly tilted downwards. His white shirt against the black background is a good contrast. |

Dear God.......by OnieComment by LindaLee: Very nice shot that definitely conveys the "prayerful" feeling of putting hands together in prayer. |

Dear God.......by OnieComment by Olyuzi: The essence of faith and prayer is what this image conveys to me. Great religious shot...I love the way the light from the candle falls on the hands and also like the pitch black background and floating candle, which gives the photo a spiritual and even mystical feel. Because the face and hands are of different tones (face much more yellow and mask-like, and hands more red), there seems to be a dissociation between the two. Now, maybe this was done intentionally because from a philosophical point of view, the photographer could be stating that faith is not about the intellect, but about the heart. Can you comment on that? |

Dear God.......by OnieComment by bamaster: Working with candles is a challenge in itself. The flame throws the auto exposure into chaos. But I like the idea and the slight flare adds to the atmosphere. If only there was a way to prevent the light from being so bright. Hmmm.... |
