Wk_11_B&W_Lake Reflectionsby twmaxComment by WalesP: What a nice peaceful landscape. I like that as my eye scans from left to right that it stops when it gets to the darker area on the right helps keep me focused on the center. |

Wk_11_B&W_Lake Reflectionsby twmaxComment by Bud: This has strong eye appeal. The fact that the image fades from light to dark and naturally flows from left to right makes it very pleasing. And there is nice detail in the trees. Well done. |

Wk_11_B&W_Lake Reflectionsby twmaxComment by salmiakki: This is a lovely shot. The reflection of the trees is very nice. I just wonder if it would be possible to get a little bit more detail in the trees on the right. |

Wk_7_B&W_New Mexicoby twmaxComment by nikolaos: Great landscape! I like the composition and the clouds fill just enough the sky to make it more interesting.
btw. Andi, I think you need to adjust your monitor... I think it's just a shadow there.

Mallardby twmaxComment by JustinM: Technically this is good but it could have been made much better by getting down closer to the perspective of the duck. With this "I'm human and looking down on you" perspective there is no communication between the bird and the viewer. The way it is, is just kind of a so-so shot. Doesn't really hold your interest at all. |

Wk_10_B&W_Cyclistsby twmaxComment by Melethia: While the purists will scorn harsh midday sun, I rather enjoy the very strong contrast sometimes and here it works wonderfully (to me, anyway!) The strong contrast works well to echo the strength of the cyclists, and the shadows of the bikes are great. This is a great shot to convert to B&W - I may have to give the LightRoom feature a try. Edit to add that in case I didn't make it clear, I really like this. I'm a big fan of cycling so that could play a wee bit in that. Message edited by author 2008-03-09 16:56:11. |

Wk_10_B&W_Cyclistsby twmaxComment by trevytrev: Great motion pan! Nice, sharp rider with a smooth oof motion in the background. The b&w works very well in this shot, usually you see bikers with bright cloths which tend to draw the eye all around the frame, but here the focus is the riders and the sense of speed & motion, well done! |
