litespeed frames are really rare here in europe, and thus cost a fortune but i'd love to own one myself.
really sweet ride! |
Thanks! Yes, this is a pretty amazing machine. It weighs in at just over 10 Kilos (22-23lbs). Recent additions are carbon fiber bars & seat post, which might have brought the weight down a little bit. I hand built the wheels myself using the Mavic rims, Chris King rear hub, and Ringle front hub. That stuff is as old as the frame, back from when purple was in style. The purple head set is Chris King also, and you just can't wear that stuff out. The one complaint is that the motor has a lot of miles on it, and occasionally sputters!;-) |

Thanks! I think I have close to 25,000 miles on this frame. Titanium is pretty special, so hope it will last many more years. It looks new because just before taking this photo, I polished the frame, and put new decals on it. The nice thing about titanium is that you can rub it out with 0000 steal wool, and then buff it with Mother's Aluminum/Mag polish for an as new appearance. |

Rock Outcrop-White Sandsby twmaxComment by gys: Very nice shot, the three elements of the sand, clouds and rock make for a very interesting composition. Great BW conversion. Is there really that little texture in the sand, or is this may due to a little too much noise reduction? I feel that the image lacks a little contrast in the nearby foreground. |

I've added my post processing steps to the photo details. Thanks for your comment. |
