Floyd Landis-Tour of Californiaby twmaxComment by twmax: Originally posted by Melethia: That whole testosterone thing... you'd think he'd have the decency to admit it. If you saw him ride that stage of the TdF, you had to wonder if something was up. He was behaving like a madman afterwards, and was drinking a TON of water during the stage - perhaps to flush his system? I really did like and admire the guy. Now, not so sure. |
I would sure like to believe him, but it's pretty tough to explain away the synthetic testosterone in his blood sample. He is a great rider, but think his career is pretty much over. He did race in the Tour of the Gila in New Mexico last month, but didn't hear how he did. |

raceface drivetrain :-) nice ! , if there are disc brakes ... huh? more stopping power would be nice to have, right?
from what year is this SID fork ? |
I think the fork is a 2005 model...I've had it a few years. I had a 2004, but had to have Rockshox replace it due to a defect.
I thought about putting disc brakes on it, but to do it right would cost about $1,100-$1,200. I would have to replace both hubs, buy an adapter from Litespeed, and then buy the disc brakes themselves that seem to be running about $250 per wheel. When done, I would have a bike that is heavier, and doubt that the stopping performance would be much better than the V-brakes. The V-brakes have great feel, and if needed I can lock them up on any surface. If I lived in a wet/muddy area, I would probably make the switch. |
