Lighthouse on Lake Ontarioby kashiComment by Dantzr: Wonderful photo! Everything is perfectly aligned and clearly focused. I especially like the subdued color. You could have increased color some but would have spoiled the shot. Great job!!!

A Beater of Whipped Creamby kashiComment by jonfrommk: Interesting image, can see what you were going for in terms of the over exposure, which for me works well on the childs face but less so when you get down to the lips and beater, would be interesting to see what the outsome was if this was cropped just below the nose as the model has a wonderful expression |

Lighthouse on Lake Ontarioby kashiComment by BHuseman: I see water as the main element here, but you have titled it after the lighthouse. Then you have a boat thrown in as well. All in all I think it loses the element. I don't know if you were going for the flat look in your PP, but too me it lacks contrast and a bit of sharpness. Colors are also AWOL. |

Bubbles !by kashiComment by jaysonmc: Going for a high key shot? Not bad, I disagree with the amount of light. I think it is fine. I might have moved the little one a bit further from the way to prevent shadow casting but that is pretty minor. For "shapes" though it is a bit hard to see the bubbles and probably would have scored higher with more emphasis on them. Cute picture though. Very inquisitive face! |

Bubbles !by kashiComment by noraneko: Lea, this is very cute. The even lighting and composition are very strong here. The skin tones look a little washed out on my monitor. I think the thing that probably really hurt you scorewise was the primary bubble right under his chin - if it were in sharp focus and the tones in the photo just a little richer, this would be a potential ribbon winner. I think this would be a great addition to your portfolio if you cloned the big bubble out altogether (realize you couldn't do that for the challenge, of course.) You really are very, very strong with portraits. |
