edit: I have to say that this photo is absolutely great! When I looked at it for the first time, I thought the guy was sitting at the edge of something, getting ready to jump (not like in suicide jump, but more like a publicity jump...saying freedom of movement, power!!!)....and now, though I know it's not true, I still get the same feeling. Amazing! The effect is created by the deep shadow between the the pipes and the edge of the street. It makes them look like beeing on two different levels (pipes lower then the street).Added to my favorites!

Lacks a certain amount of clarity on this screen - whether it's the exposure, or what is hartd to tell, but it is difficult to look at - I wonder if you've taken the contrast on the figure too far in order to get the background that way?
