I normally hate shots of kids as too many people rely on their inherent "cuteness" rather than exploring them as an interesting subject. You've done an excellent job of using a child as a model.

Her eyes are all the more compelling because of your choice to shoot the rest of the shot as nearly monochrome and while there's no denying the "child's innocence" and sense of wonder, you could almost substitute an adult and get nearly as good a shot. Great work.
