Ah, I knew this was your photograph! Always so simple and elegant. My question, Irene, is what is going on at the bottom of the photograph. It looks like a ring of flare (green on my monitor), I'm sure it is a reflection from the mirror. No one mentioned it so it may have gone largely unnoticed. Nicely done as always.

Oooh this is lovely. Not only a great composition (the way the weight sits so heavily on one side against that one slender coil creates quite a tension, for me) but also beautifully sharp and with such a lovely shallow DOF. Mmmmm!

Fantastic strong Industrial feel - right on the nail in terms of the challenge. Lovely clarity. I like the way that the right hand "side" of the reel runs down the centre of the image, and the cut end forming a "dot" to punctuate the right hand side.

exxcellent details - the contrast, the angled lines, the sweep of the end of the wire - it delivers interest into a potentially boring subject
