Nice idea. This really brings back memories. Such a narrow & well defined DOF is distracting to me here. I wonder what result you might have gotten by bending back the paper in symmetry with the silly putty so that only the crease between them would plunge into (or out of) the focal plane, then rotate. The overall composition has nice lines and it's fun overall.

Very neat idea. The short DOF works really well, but I find I want to tilt my head so that it's straight. Must be an odd quirk of mine!
