Great concept, but I think you're adding a bit too much light. Let the flame do it's thing, and light the opposite side to keep the shape of the subject.

Not sure on what to say here. It just doesn't quite do it for me and I can't tell you why, except...perhaps, the composition with the other details around it?? I don't know why I'm trying to comment because I can't put it into words but, perhaps, "I don't get it" may come closest rather than, "boring"??? Sorry. Don't mean to be so cruel sounding.
