As has been suggested already, this is a photojournalistic type of picture. There is a story to be told here.
The surroundings are good and work well, but if you had slightly repositioned yourself you wouldn't have the Obelisque coming out of the person's head. These are important details we need to watch for as photographers. We've all done it though.
I'm certain this would have scored higher if it was light enough to see some detail on the faces of the people.
I don't know if the car is parked or moving, it would be a little better without it. Of course if it's parked the only option you'd have is to reposition yourself.
I hope these comments help.
Regards,

Grayce

Nice camera :) This photo didn't really jump out at me during voting. It's a decent shot, but not the most interesting subject to me. Nothing really stands out - I don't say "wow, look at those color or that perspective or those lines or that texture". Pears are a pretty good subject actually, but I don't think that the plate helps anything. They don't even look to be centered on it. Lighting is decent tho the shadows in the center are a little dark. I think the four pears might have had more impact on a solid color bg with some dramatic lighting. The square also isn't very obvious - which probably affected the score. Keep practicing with your camera - it's capable of great shots. This one probably didn't deserve such a low score, but it's always a matter of finding the right subject.

Great interpretation of the challenge. Pity about the pole coming out of the one guy's head. If you'd cropped him out you'd still have had a pretty decent photo.

I love the title. This is what my kids think about me. I just wish the photo were lighter so I could see their faces better. Beautifully done with good, sharp, clear focus. Nice composition. This is a really nice photo, especially considering the weather. Just lighten it up some, and don't crop off the one persons feet. Would rather see less sky and have his feet, or cut off the feet of all three.
