Although it is the strong point of the image, the rest of the image is similar enough to it that it doesn't seem that minimal. Nice coloration and lighting, cool setup.

too much over exposure near you subject. I think the bg and subject are fighting each other for attention, and you always want to have a dominating subject in your photo, or it just will not work.

Hummmmm, without the title, I would not have known what the main object was. "Create an image where your subject is the strong point of the image, but only occupying a very small portion of the image space." I think that seperating the main object via DOF or some other method would have helped this image a great deal in this challenge.

I have no idea what the background is, but it's very pretty. The butterfly seems defective, missing the bulb on the left antenna, but otherwise makes a nice subject. The bright white light underneath is harsh, though.
