Thanks for the critiqueing comments, they were all true and very helpful. I will try to spend more time in perfecting the post processing and not do literally last 5-minute submissions.

The Challenge-Details seem to disapear, but I save each one.
Yes it did say subject(s), but to be 100 percent accurate, the word background shouls have been plural also.

"Take a picture of a colored subject or subjects on the same color background"

"Roses and Friends" in the 21st place also interpreted it in a similar fashion.

Clever idea here, but would have like to see you use the rule of thirds, re the top and the bottom, which is so much stronger, and a little overpowering..... A little more of the top section, would nave given this more balance.

I can absolutely find the zen in this image, I like the simplicity of it and the sun streak makes a great subject. Unfortunately, I find the technical aspects to be a bit lacking and that really effects the impact the image has. First there is a strange tone to the colors, I'm not sure if its because of the light and how its reflecting off the water or what. Your horizon is tilted a bit and that's very noticeable in this image and finally the focus looks like it could be a bit sharper. I like what you were going for and I think it certainly meets the challenge, but because of the technical issues I gave a 4.
