Mystery potionby sessaComment by skewsme: Nice idea, perhaps could have colored the liquid in the volumetric to appease the cliche hounds. |

Fireby sessaComment by Nitesead: Nice image, and great title! The focus of the flame edges are fascinating. The logs or kindling add interest to the composition. |

Fireby sessaComment by SDW: I like the abstract and the shape of the fire. The log or wood in the middle is a bit distracting but still a good shot. |

Fireby sessaComment by Rebecca: There are just too many straightforward fire shots in this challenge. What makes fire interesting is the context. Where is it? What is it doing? Is it serving a productive purpose or in a mode of destruction? Fire for fire's sake is just not special enough. Fire for fire's sake is just boring. |

Fireby sessaComment by thegrandwazoo: Very nice capture of fire but I am not sure what to focus on and my eye is wandering looking for the WOW. It sure meets the challenge. 5

Pieces of flowerby sessaComment by sbrian123: There's another pieces of flower piece that I ranked higher because it seemed to be more evocative by having the "broken flower" pieces all alone in the corner of a "white space." This one doesn't seem to evoke the same sense of loss that the other does. |

Pieces of flowerby sessaComment by lil_mo: Just a touch over exposed. I am not sure if you meant to do it on purpose, but I would actally like to see a bit more of the edge of the petals where the white meets white.... I have an image that I'm currently working on fixing a similar problem with. In yours, it looks like there is enough information there that you could probably make the adjustment in photoshop CS using the Image> Adjustments> Shadow/Highlight, as suggested in this turorial:
