Manchester so much to answer forby PaulkComment by kiwiness: I like the concept you have chosen here, the perspective is very good. Maybe a little too much contrast between light and shadows but generally a top postcard image. |

Manchester so much to answer forby PaulkComment by Journey: Really like the originality of this shot. Have never been to Manchester but, judgng from postcard, you make it look a lot more interesting than i ever could imagine. Strong composition, great colors, the text is perfect - bold yet not interfering and matching the boldness of the architecture. Minor nitpick: in the title, shouldn't there be a comma or a dash after Manchester? This is the type of postcard friends would send to me because they know i don't care much for the run of the mill typical postcard. 10 |

A Day on The East Lancashire Railwayby PaulkComment by Swashbuckler: Nice series! I really like the two cells on the left, good feeling for trains coming and going. The upper right frame is very good with extremely difficult lighting, but it doesn't show me what they are doing (keeping the audience guessing might be a good thing, but I doubt it). The lower right frame is well focused, but the overcast takes away quite a bit of the spendor (maybe shotting this more level would have looked better). 7 Rob the Swash |
