In my comment I assumed this had been made with multiple strobes, but it is kind of disapointing to find out this is NOT a multiple light source shot, since the light is coming from one strobe. I am quite new at this, so the moral I learn is you do not have to comply with the topic to win a ribbon, because once you get it, the SC is only going to judge compliance with the editing rules...interesting. |
while there has been a lot of discussion about this, you can not be DQ'd for not meeting the challenge DETAILS just the rules. There have been certain challenges where you MUST meet the details or be DQ'd but they are few and far between.
(I know you didn't mention DQ'ing the image but basically the same thing) |

Multiplicity. by Dan_CottleComment by Artyste: Is one strobe repeating actually considered "multiple light sources"?
Interesting.
One light source being strobed is technically multiple light.
However, it is still only one source.
Interesting interpretation here for sure. |

Multiplicity. by Dan_CottleComment by Dan_Cottle: This shot was quite simple.
I set my flash to 20 flashes at 100 hertz which equates to 1/5th of a second. Set up a black background about 20 feet away. I spun the pencils in the air with my right hand and set off the shutter with my left. |
