Lift Off!by scooter97Comment by hahn23: Great launch capture. Nice timing. This is a light, western Red-tailed Hawk. The patagial mark is the key field indicator.8 |

Osprey Morningby scooter97Comment by jomari: Great capture. I love the diagonal composition formed by the outstretched wing, and way that wing leads up to the head. |

Egretsby scooter97Comment by MelonMusketeer: Last month was nesting time here again. This looks like it might have been at Ding Darling Refuge, on Sanibel Island. That's a great birding spot for shore and wading birds. Great pose in this one. |

Wilson's Warblerby scooter97Comment by JuliBoc: I think these have been spotted in Mich. U.P. on the South side of Lake Superior, but I have never been lucky enough to see one. This is a really clear capture. Nice. |

I actually knew this was a Wilson's Where the heck did I get Bell's from??? LOL Thanks for pointing out my error so that I would only be embarrassed for a few moments. : |
I have been humbled many times. Through binoculars, I once thought I had spotted a RT Hawk. Reported my sighting to a fairly large group of birders. Turns out it was a Monarch Butterfly. They remind me of that mistake often. |
