editedby scooter97Comment by hajeka: Much brighter now! I like the red colors, the fresh looking drops and the moving wings of the bee. |

Soakingby scooter97Comment by ordinaryangel: I like how this does have a 3D effect. A nice combination of texture, reflection and expression here! |

The Mischief Maker -- Ivory Billed Tucanetteby scooter97Comment by Citadel: really crazy haloing from the post processing. This image has been pushed too much trying to make it something more. A well processed image doesn't look processed in my opinion. I would however like to see what the original looked like because there is a lot of potential in the shot.
In terms of the challenge it doesn't really say "from the ground up" in my opinion. Its really a case of using the perspective not just shooting something higher than the photographer. |

Soakingby scooter97Comment by Pug-H: Well, I didn't know rhinos bathed themselves in water. They usually have dust baths - or maybe that's because dust is more readily available where they live. ;-Þ
The zoo where I used to be a volunteer guide has a succesful rhino breeding program. |

Standoutby scooter97Comment by Melethia: Lovely! You really caught the papery texture of these well, and without blowing the reds, which is really hard to do! |

Standoutby scooter97Comment by ordinaryangel: Okay.. I'm not overly patriotic(Australian) but the poppy stands out to me as I can actually identify it:P THis is a beautiful capture and I think you've nailed the details.. Without the details it's diffiult ro say but if this was a uniform applicaton of a sharpening feature I might go in with a mask to elminate some of the grain.

Mosquito Hatchby scooter97Comment by MelonMusketeer: OK, you have "swamp angels" up there too? Maybe I will come visit next summer since it looks like I would feel right at home.
I'm not sure what you used to get this shot, but I understand why you didn't stick around for a few more.

Barn Swallowby scooter97Comment by MelonMusketeer: Love the color in the bird's feathers in this shot. Sometimes you can just blast away and you get lucky. I love it when that happens. |
