Thanks for the votes everyone, i am a bit unsatisfied myself with the focus (it being on my hair) for those who didn't know, this is a self portrait shot in the dark which i used an object to guestimate the focus i needed on myself. all in all, i'm satisfied with it for a first entry shot, thanks for the comments and i'd love to hear more

Cool idea. One thing you may want to try is to show something on the other side via a shadow to raise the tension in this shot. Might not quite work in a still frame shot like this but I'm thinking like in a movie when a shadow suddenly appears.

Definetely mental. More sharpness on lips and fingers would improve it - feels like focal plane is a bit too far out. But what it lacks technically it certainly has in emotion.
