I tried very hard a few years ago when there was an eruption (a time when the Snowy Owls come down in large numbers, every six or seven years) to stalk one out on the river flats to get a close shot. Got a few but the light was never great. Can't wait for the next time!
In the meantime I might have to break down and visit a rescue center that has one. Nice shot. |

Jay w/o a Tailby stargazer05766Comment by Rando D300: OH Yeah I forgot to tell you ,I asked a friend about the missing tail . Tail feathers will bleed a lot when the come out but should grow back .I guess it is more for balance ,I bet that Jay has a real tight grip on that feeder .
Knowing that the tail is for balance now , makes this shot even more cool !! :) |
