Really,really, nice shot, composed well with no distractions. Subject dominates picture and in focus (the parts that need to be I suppose). And really does convey a feeling of motion. Only one suggestion - have you tried adjusting the image using levels or a similar editing tool to employ a full range of tones in your image? I tried it on the image and it really seems to bring out the colors. Cropping off the wood the bird is sitting on puts the bird a little more off center and strengthens the composition, but that's a little more personal and I think yours worked just fine. After challenge is over I'd love to show you what I tried and hear your opinion :)

Ooo nice shot. I like how the wings are blurred by motion, but the head is in clear focus. the background is removed from distracting the viewer wonderfully. great shot, well done.
