So that We May Be Freeby YomiComment by PTLParsons: Everything inside of me wants to give you a 10 for what you are saying, but I can't. I wish all 4 had been in focus. As it is the only thing really in focus is the flag. Maybe you should have set out 4 flags. I love the snow, the composition, the thought expressed but the best I can give it because of the focus is 4. I hate that, too. PTL |

So that We May Be Freeby YomiComment by Lustre: A powerful photo although the shallow DOF sends my attention to the flag rather than the tombstones - which is not what I expected in the "four" challenge. |

Sea of Sofa'sby YomiComment by DougPaz: Nice job, one of my favorites this week. Only nit is the bright blue thing in the background. I really like the composition. DPz |

Geothermic Activityby YomiComment by HBunch: Interesting. I'm not quite sure what it is, but it looks untouched by man. Uless it's from a nuclear power plant run off, and then I'd have to wonder, but looks good to me. Focus and clarity are good, and the angle and framing/cropping are good too. I like the foggy look. Good luck in the challenge. |

Geothermic Activityby YomiComment by lisae: Very cool location. I love the steam and the red.. stuff on the side (it can't be lava, can it?). It's a weird, alien landscape, nicely framed. The light seems a tad harsh, and maybe you could have cropped it more, because those rocks in the foreground are a little bit busy. Nice work though. |

Dancing on I-15by YomiComment by Gordon: Critique Club
I think your comments are right on the money. It does have a interesting abstract feel to it and I like how the headlights fill in the foreground. It does have a slight 'Jackson Pollock' feel to it too, with the squiggly light trails all converging into the center. I feel like I'm in a world of oscilloscopes. Not sure I can think of anything to really contribute to making this look 'better. It is what it is - if you like and enjoy it then it works. Certainly shows motion and meets the challenge. |

Geothermic Activityby YomiComment by FranziskaLang: challenge met. i like the contrast between the stones and whatever covers it (the brown stuff) and the steam. the foreground is nice and colorful, crisp and focused, and it almost looks like the end of the world where it stops and the steam rises. i think i would have considered cropping more off the top, especially where the steam is not so predominant and the green background on the other side comes through. |
