This almost got pulled off but the girl getting scared looks more like she's set up than actually surprised. The girl on the left doesn't even look like she's looking at the girl on the right, the motion is good since she would be jumping out, also the girl on the left seems a bit too far from the corner she would be hiding behind to scare the other girl. Little things that jump out at me. A 7

A gorgeous capture with almost -bleached- hues (the near-turquoise foregound and sky above horizon). Very good contrast, given the fog, particularly in the reflection. The horizontally centered composition, of course, aids the staticity of the landscape. A photographer more passionate about his art, would have blown up the slim tower visible near the centre of the image prior to taking this shot. ;-)

Pretty scene but strong line bisects in the middle. Not sure how you tie into the tpoic for the challenge but I don't make the connection.

I hate it when someone jumps out at me:) I always try to hide the surprise...LOL this is a nice idea. the image could use a bit more balance in terms of the space it was shot. the opening to the back of the room is a bit distracting....may have worked better if the lights were on in the hall and over the door?

While this was without a doubt one of the most fantastic pictures in this challenge, I could not rate it at its highest. . . simply because I could not make a quick connection to the theme of the challenge. I am sure there are scents and aromas that are here, but in my estimation too many. But then again, that is just me. Best of luck
