I don't see the enough color above the clouds. Did you selectively desat the top half of the image? A ski lift would have been a nice addition to lead your eye up the mountain. The mountain ridge is all I get out of this. Even so, I gave you an 8 for a great picture.

The photo isn't bad. However, it's composition is a bit confusing. What exactly is the area of interest that I'm supposed to focus on? The house to the lower right? The rose of houses to the lower left? Or the mountain that is hovering towards the middle of the frame? Lastly (and this is the most important part) I see NO lines in this. You haven't used composition to create the sense of lines at all.

This was one of three 10s I gave in this challenge (that's 3 more than I usually give - the standards were VERY high here). I absolutely love the mood and the light in this picture. It captures autumn just perfectly for me and has the added bonus of looking a bit like a Weston image (with colour). Well done - I believe this deserved a ribbon.
