a new morning by ursulaComment by L0nz: Thanks for posting the originals Ursula. I was expecting more heavy processing but apart from the dodge/burn on "apocalyptic vision", there's not much more than what a tinted filter would have achieved. I'm even more impressed, if that's possible! :) The originals are stand out pictures in their own right, I love the dark exposure, gives them more of a "fantasy" feel. |

apocalyptic vision by ursulaComment by geoffb: "The advantage of dodge/burn in a gray soft light layer is that the colours of the original do not change that way, whereas if you dodge/burn directly on the image, they do"
Not to mention that it's easy to undo/remove later.
Great job on this image. Absolutely stunning. |

a new morning by ursulaComment by Meoux: Congratulations Ursula. We should go to Jasper together next year *winks*. Sure Medicine Lake is always photogenic no matter when and where we took the picture from but your shots are even more amazing.
My trip included 2300 km of driving, visiting 6 lakes, taking 1000+ pictures and climbing a glacier in a total of 4 days.
Cheers, |
