This photo has so much potential, IMHO a straight horizon would have brought the subject on the board onto a better perspective, as well as dodging the white foaming of the wave to make the surfer more visible, the colors are well done for the sunset, but the highlight in the background takes the viewer to the back of the photo before the subject can be seen, I am giving this a 7 for the technical requirements needed to take the shot, best of luck.

Ken started to stand on his board. It was a great wave, at the end of a perfect day. The sunset was beautiful, the air warm, the moment glorious.

Within seconds, however, that all came to a crashing halt as Ken was savagely attacked by a lurking menace. The evil and dreaded Balding Bloated Surfer Muncher pounced from beneath the waves and snatched Ken right off his board.

He didn't stand a chance.

I love the colors and perspective here. I'm not sure the tilt works to your advantage, however. Lovely shot.
