full spectrum bouquetby posthumousComment by JulietNN: CC Club here,
OKay I am going to go out on a limb here and guess what you where thinking when you took this shot.
IT was once alive, vibrant and full of life, then it died, but now it can make life again with the seeds from the flower heads. So in fact you have really gone for life, death and life again. Nice job!
You are tack sharp on the orange flower and its leaf, which drifts off into a smooth blur. I think the green background is not working in this shot as it is very vibrant, maybe toning it down a little?
The composition is tilted, which I actually like, I like that it inst straight on, that would make for a boring shot.
I think and believe, this is exactly what you wanted to shoot and processed.

Energy Squaredby posthumousComment by ineedauniquename: stretching the point a bit not quite sure where the squared is coming in. I think this photo would be quite nice in B&W with a bit of grain would capture the energy in the bloke even more. |

Energy Squaredby posthumousComment by Kempostudent3: I get the idea, but I think this doesn't really meet the square idea (in terms of catching it in the image). I do like the picture though. |

spookykidby posthumousComment by JulietNN: Hello from the Critique Club!!
I am not sure why I joined the Critique Club when all I seem to get are these amazing shots. It is making my job very hard.
I love the mood that you have set with the blacks and whites. The grain really pops out and brings out more details on the building and especially the door. The different textures you have going on here are splendid. THe buttery white of the goat, is in excellent contrast to the rest of the shot.
The ISO being at 400 helped along with the SP setting. The only thing is I would crop just a tad bit off teh top of your shot so that the full attention is on the goat and his surrounding area. There is too much black at the top and I am searching for details there.
I can see this in a shop selling like hotcakes, well done! |
