schnoodlecopterby posthumousComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: The highlight for me in this image is the shadow of the dog - I like how squared off it is. I also like the texture of the iron work.
Critical stuff: Most of everything else (sorry!) The off vertical structure really bothers me - my problem I know - I tend to be fussy about alignment (always better to align verticals than horizontals I think). The harshness of the contrast -the very bright highlights in the bottom right corner seem unnecessarily harsh to me. The overall composition seems messy too.
Overall: I've been trying to see what you have seen here, but I'm afraid I've failed. |

schnoodlecopterby posthumousComment by bvy: This breaks so many rules, yet it has some innate attraction that defies description. Good work. |

trapped in his artby posthumousComment by snaffles: Well, I already commented on this shot during voting and gave you a 4 in an effort to keep the brown from your grasp - but all to no avail *deep sigh*
Very pretty colours and use of thirds, and yes well I guess you did actually make some graffiti! Good work...I think ;-)

Jesus, your 14th brown ribbon?? You're consistent, I'll tell you that much...
And it's your third (or should I say turd) worse entry ever :)
A photo with no redeeming features, but still meets the challenge. Your title help it link.
You where shooting for the last place, and the voters where behind you.
Composition
Perfect rule of thirds, the lines in the back make it more dynamic.
Colour
My retinas are still trying to recover, as they tried to run in horror, but I managed to keep them in. I like the green though.
Processing
The inversion is really the key here, making this a real ribbon winner :)
Great work on your posthumous ribbons, btw!
Cheers,
Joao

But I am none; nor will my sun renew.by posthumousComment by Luci11e: Love this shot! even if it doesn't make me feel cold; just me but I think the right side of the pic (as you look at it) should have been cropped - I keep trying to figure out what the human looking figure is |
