nice colors, i can make out the tadpole easy enough. not sure im big on the blown highlights as they tend to draw my eye away from the subject but knowing you that might be the intent :) |

You don't bring me flowersby posthumousComment by Mike: critique club:
i'm not how well i like the wide crop for this image, the left and right images work well together but the transition through the middle loses me as all i see is color noise. the whole image in marred by some sort of color noise, and while that may be intentional, i think i would have preferred it removed since it draw too much attention from the subjects. |

You don't bring me flowersby posthumousComment by streetpigeon: Lovely colors used to water color effect. The somewhat choppy movement from left to right well supports the mysterious ambiguity of the men exiting the image. Coolly provocative. I like it very much. |

You don't bring me flowersby posthumousComment by Bear_Music: I find this incredibly poignant. Something about the tripartite composition, with the central, warped section walling off the figures from the flowers, defies its own stagnancy, seeming to underline a fundamental alienation. Or I'm just blowing happy smoke :-) But it works for me... |

falling hardby posthumousComment by Mike: critique club... the tones are nice and its a bit over sharpened for my tastes.
ultimately i feel the image suffers from a lack of a distinct focal point or subject, its equal parts sky and waterfall and i think it need to favor one. |

You don't bring me flowersby posthumousComment by levyj413: Interesting, artsy image, and it connects well with the title. It's just not grabbing my attention. Still, I'm giving it a 6 for visual interest a clear artistic vision. |

into darknessby posthumousComment by ambaker: Critique Club Review:
Color Saturation and Hue - Not applicable.
Brightness and contrast - I'm a pushover for inky velvet blacks... Sold!
Focus and depth of field - Tack sharp, and great depth of field.
Subjective - The bright specks above and beyond the waterfall distract my eye a bit.i really like the angle of the lighting. The flow of the water leads the eye out of the image, which could be a metaphorical vanishing. However the title makes me wonder why the flow of the image does not take me into the darkness.
Overall - another opportunity to seem clueless in front of a master. I'm in love with the backs and the contrasting water. |
