Very striking. I like the contrast between chaos and tranquility, and the composition is very strong and visually pleasing.

*Greetings from the Critique Club*

Initial impressions - I like the shadows and asymmetrical pattern in this. Wonderful geometry.

Compositionally I think this is a great image. The pattern in the sand is like leading lines taking my eyes all the way through the image. You found something so unusual. Not just unusual, but something that existed for just a few brief moments in time, before being erased with the next tide. Also compositionally, in this capture there is enough variation and almost order to the shape for the image to feel complete.

Technically I don't see any flaws in the image. The texture of the sand stands out, and the light moves pleasantly from shadows to highlights adding a lot of movement to the photo. The darkness on the left that moves into a lightness on the right I found particularly enjoyable. (While the B&W certainly works, I can't help but wonder what the image might have looked like processed with shades of brown, although it might just be my brain picturing a nice tan, sand beach - maybe wasn't the reality.)

IMHO this is a great entry into the Organic Geometry challenge. In my mind, sand is definitely organic and the asymmetric pattern is exactly geometry seen in nature. Perhaps the transient nature of the geometry in your shot led some to consider that this did not meet the challenge? I suppose it is also not as shiny, and is a bit more abstract, than most of those making that front page.

But yours is a nice addition to the challenge.

Nice lush foliage but the hue/saturation needs to be dialed down a notch.

I don't get the title, and I'm not crazy about the visual aspects of the photo either. Interesting framing with the hedge, but it just ends up too busy in this case and there seems to be some motion blur as well.

Nice overlay. I like the dreamy feel to the image. It evokes imagination - quite in line for Christophe's offspring!

Day dreaming is one of my favorite occupation, maybe it is going to be one of hers too? Time will tell... in any case, thanks a lot for your entry. Any imaginative spirit could easily get lost in those whimsical woods, and I am sure many stories will start there!
