Engulfment Hazardby posthumousComment by kawana: Hmm im not sure i like the bright colors here, you can see some of the colors overlaping each other like on the red pile to the left of the big sign. The sign itself looks a tad fake, the brightness of it makes it standout from everything else. |

Unscrupulous Nature Photographerby posthumousComment by JuliBoc: This is so brown it looks like it has a sepia tint. As a matter of fact, I think I gave it a 5 because of that. I think the sepia shots were pretty poor efforts for the brown challenge. Sorry I lumped yours in with that category. I think these natural brown are very nice, and I should have realized from the blue lens on the camera that it wasn't a tint. |

Watching My Own Existenceby posthumousComment by gjumi: This photo and some of the comments can be used as an example on appreciating art. I would like to add something about the colours: it´s a great find that the red vest on the kid´s back is the opposite of the blue water and sky; and his clothes are blue also. I guess it can mean that the hardships of life (the red) which go against the mainstream (the blue of everything) have to be carried on one´s back/shoulders, while trying to melt in society (the blue of clothes).
But, when you really think about it (reflect - the reflection), the entire life is blended into a boring dark brown, fragmented into unconnected pieces. And the proof of the existence (ripples) disappear or get mixed with other ones. |

a sticky symbiosisby posthumousComment by MaryO: Not what I typically think of as sticky but it makes sense. The sudden end of the branch is disconcerting. Not sure that's a bad thing as it makes it more evident that the fungi are in a perilous position. I'm seeing a bit of haloing around the fungi and they are a little soft to be the focal point of the image. |

My World Photographs My Skyby posthumousComment by JuliBoc: I think you should have scored much higher for this brilliant image. I gave it a 10, and can't understand why anyone would have given it less than 7.
Thanks for sharing your method. I really want to try something like this myself. |
