bad poetryby posthumousComment by MaryO: Like the title; image is very dark and grainy (I assume that's intentional) and I feel like it overdramatizes what appears to be a pretty ordinary place with not much happening. |

The Webby posthumousComment by colorcarnival: I like your motto - "I won't risk a bore for a score." Good words to live by in DPClalaland. I hate bugs of any kind and this one big size just freaks me out. However, at least you made it look pretty with the purples, blues, and reds lol.
Edit to add: I'm going to quote your words on my profile page if that is ok. Today, it just really sound right. Message edited by author 2007-06-14 09:31:46. |

The Webby posthumousComment by JuliBoc: The colors are cool. I would never imagine a spider could look like that. Did you see Jutilda's entry in Why? Look in the OOBIE nominations. |

The Webby posthumousComment by BeeCee: I was away so didn't get to voting but, yes, I'm a wacko who digs it.
It's an arachnophobic's nightmare, the spider looking ghostly and still vividly, menacingly real. Is the mesh protecting or caging the prey?
The optical illusion at the junctures of the mesh add to the dream feeling, bringing in an element that is visible from the corner of the eye, then disappearing on direct viewing.
Yup, I'd hang it on my wall! :D |

Art Schoolby posthumousComment by bucket: I have to say..let this be a lesson to you..shooting from the hip is not worthwhile, because when you look up you find art...and yes I mean that, this is not something the hip knows, this is something the eye sees, that busy brain of yours captures..
I am immensely disappointed that you didn't achieve one of your profile goals with this shot..being mistaken for me..:)
and now I can't say it is good, or I would sound like an idiot...ok it is more like boysetsfire...
I like it! |
