Embrace of the Umbrellasby posthumousComment by JunieMoon: The potential for this shot is really great, but the execution of this particular image was not the best. A better sky would have helped, and maybe some fill in light for the lower parts of the umbrella would have gotten rid of the grain which occurred due to low light. |

Windowby posthumousComment by nixter: My first thought is I'm looking out of my dark world, through a portal, into another plane or dimension. One that is bright and sunny and cheerful, only there's a catch... this world is full of cats! |

Windowby posthumousComment by boysetsfire: my reaction to this when i see it again and again is that i cant believe i added a picture of a cat into my fav's :)
i love it, it actually makes me feel a little "closed in" i want to sit in the cats place and see what it's seeing but all i get is a tasty reflection of it. |

Tiny Dancerby posthumousComment by yanko: Funny it does look like money and nothing like a bag of skittles. I like your composition. In fact I don't think anything else would work better, IMO. For me it makes her look more like she is up against that wall leaning on it. Despite her flashy outfit she looks shy and the composition enhances that. |

Windowby posthumousComment by jonfrommk: OK possibly a bit unfair for me to react to this one as I am not a great fan of 'transclucent reflections' such as this
1. I like the grainy feel which works well with the subject and the fact that it is in B&W.
2. The reflection in the top pane of glass is great, it is sharp and the horizontals compliment the verticals of the frame
3. The transclucence of the bottom pane (for me and to my personal taste) is a bit messy and does not really add to or suit the (grainy) clarity of the rest of the image.
In a challenge I would probably score this a 5/6 |
