Coming back for a comment - very good shot. I think it meets the challenge very well, but not in a very obvious way. It's more of who the subject is as a person (which I think your pic captures well) than what the subject is doing. I'm guessing the title cost you at least 0.5 in the score - it's not a very straightforward image but you chose to confuse quick voters even more with the title. Also, nothing is really vertical in the image, everything is falling away at some different angle. You got an 8 from me.

I really like the flowers in the foreground... and the way much of the background is black gives this almost a selective desat effect. that gives the image a classy feel, and the arches of the spurting water give the image an exuberant feel. Very neat.

Freakish lighting! (and I mean that in a good way - it creates an awesome freakish mood.) It almost looks like there's a lightbulb just cropped out of the top. And all the angles and composition are fascinating. Interesting image!
