Seagullby GuGiComment by gazdi: I don't understand what you're telling with the way too high contrast. |

Seagullby GuGiComment by kari1: Wow ... this is one weird shot - I like the fact that it is lost in the whiteness .... but has it been overprocessed to have lost its shape as well ... this one will be interesting to re-visit and look at what effect you were after (from the photographes comments)... but all in all this is what i would call really quite funky! Two things ... This may have benefited from hitting vertical and horizontal thirds on the top left side ... as you have you hit vertical and still give the bird somewhere to fly ... but hitting the horizontal may have added something ... second ... the size/resizing of the picture is on the slightly small size. We can enter up to 640 on the long side .. aim for this for when voting people want the biggest impact to score the best ... :)

House of Bluesby GuGiComment by kari1: This is an interesting picture. THe first chimney meets vertical thirds and the second meets horizontal which is a good hit for this crop. Which brings me to the crop -I think it may have needed a little more sky above the roof, although that may bring in the wire that I can see in the left top corner. I think this is an interesting picture and I think will be interesting to know the post processing steps ... a good start on an almost first entry. (I gave it a 6) |
