retro diningby skewsmeComment by JuliBoc: Who's to say what pop culture really is. It seems to me that basically it's a popular fad. Certainly retro is "in" these days. And there are several 50s style diners were we live that are quite popular. Mmmmm.... real milk shakes made with real ice cream and an old fashion milk shake blender.
I like the shot. It says retro to me. I particularly like the reflections. And the processing gives it a special feel, almost as though it was a painted illustration. Was that effect done with High Pass? |

retro diningby skewsmeComment by bmartuch: I'm not sure I see POP culture but I sure do love the 50's look. You might want to see if they want to put this shot up on their wall. You did a great job giving that nostalgic feel to it. |

wild blue yonderby skewsmeComment by raish: Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two now and I'm running late, sorry.

A Tale of Two Citiesby skewsmeComment by Citadel: Not sure why you used the selective desat. Doesn't allow the juxtaposition of the two peoples to work because the eye is drawn to the building on the left. |
