light in augustby skewsmeComment by MaryO: Great detail on the grasshopper! Not sure how I feel about the composition; the dark shape on the left echoes the curve of the plant's branch/stem, but draws an awful lot of attention away from the grasshopper and plant (which interest me more). |

Lunar Decayby skewsmeComment by JuliBoc: This is the sort of image I could hang on my wall, in very large format, and never get tired of looking at it. I love the textures, but I especially like the warm tone, subdued colors, and dappled light. And I like the imperfection of the moth in this instance. The shot is beautifully balanced. Excellent work of art. |
