I am amazed at this score. I think the tones, and composition are excellent. I wouldn't have thought of slanting the shot the way you did, but I really like that. I also like the perspective -- looking up at the subject. Perhaps the soft focus is what hurt the score.

I gave this a 6 during the challenge. What I like about it is the perspective. It looks like you snuck up on him and he really had no idea that you were taking his picture.

I've heard it said that a portrait is as much about hands as it is about the face. Clearly, nobody at DPC was looking at his hands. Except maybe that guy who gave you an 8.
