parallel recowlityby skewsmeComment by basssman7: This is another example of what I meant in my other comment about your ability to see things in many different ways and portray them all wonderfully. I am much to timid as a photographer to submit a rotated photo, even if it does look better that way as this one does. you have an incredible eye for taking an ordinary scene and making people see the beauty within it that they would have missed on their own. |

not Sartre's peepholeby skewsmeComment by basssman7: I am always impressed by your wide range of entries, and this shot is no exception. :) At first glance it looks pretty ordinary, but when you look closer the lighting (or lighting effect) gives a very subtle distortion to the subject, and the soft focus and grain also add interest. |

a poverty of airby skewsmeComment by colorcarnival: That really is an unusual sight. I like the darkness and grittiness of the photo. It complements the guy's outfit and gas mask lol. Hope you are enjoying Paris! Oh and congrats on that X-prize too. |

a poverty of airby skewsmeComment by xianart: as an ex-cycle courier, this image really resonates. the darkness, while criticised by many, epitomises the grimy reality of urban cycling, as does the face mask. i love the zooming composition, the texture of the wall, and the touch of red in the reflector. |
