Thanks for all the comments everyone. I'm still trying to find my way in post processing. I'm sure some stronger post processors could have done much better with this pic than I did. I don't understand what "road" some of you were talking about. The picture is completely level, it's just the way the landscape flows that far away from the camera.

This could be a nice shot with a little more work. The focus is a little soft. A little more sharpening could help that. I would also suggest a little different crop. Maybe use the rule of thirds to place the subject a little more to the right, keeping both posts.

No offense intended, but this has got to be one of the most awkward looking herons I've ever seen! The pic is great, maybe a bit tighter crop from the sides, but other than that I think it shows us that even the most graceful of birds, looks like a geek sometimes :) 6
