The choice of a cold colored duotone really sells this as a bitter world of desolation. I like the composition with the figure set far back in the frame and the repetition of the sunlight and shadows with the darkness above (rather forboding). I wish it was just a little crisper so I could make out more details. Excellent, evocative shot. At first I scored it as a six, but I just bumped it up to an eight.

This reminds me of the images I made in high school doing brush on emulsions. I still have a Van Dyke brown stain on my favorite shirt. Excellent center composition and i love the way the image bleeds off the canvas. 8
