Those are great flowers - Im sure they are beautiful in colour, but in black and white they look positively deathly, which creates a terrific mood. Not often that a flower shot is anything but pretty, but you've gone above and beyond with this one. 8.

Hmmm, my honest first opinion was "I don't like it", but after a minute or so it kind of rubs off. I do like is the way the flowers seem to jump out off the background (I guess that is the DOF), and the b&w almost make the flowers look like there made out of metal. Like if you were to touch them they would be cold and hard instead of soft and flexible. Conflicting emotions kind of. I gave this an 8.

Very creative. This photo exceeds the challenge requirements: while the bokeh does add interest to the photo, this goes one further by providing interest in what would otherwise be an uninteresting photo. Taking the mundane and making it interesting is a skill indeed. Good job. 8
