Good use of DOF to highlighthe subject. The railing also does a good job at drawing the eye to where the subject sits.

Beautiful shot, meets the challenge well. Two things that I would have changed, first cropped out the sky / clouds in the bottom right corner of the shot and second, this isn't so much a technical deal, more personal, I would have shot at a higher f-stop to get the detail in the sky / clouds. Still a great shot for this challenge, tones are good and composition of the main subject is spot on. Well done.
