Cute little guy... sharpening on fur like this tends to result in loss of detail, especially if you don't use a customizable tool like Unsharp Mask or Smart Sharpen. Not sure what methods you used in post (if any), but I think I see the result in the fur on his eye, and his whiskers.

Oh, that is an awesome kitty photo! There is some excellent detail in his face and fur. He looks like he is coming off the page at me. . .and since I love kitties, I love it! :)
